The salmon was a bit over cooked & the salad bar is quite basic. Staff were lovely & the service time was quite quick considering how busy it was.
The filet mignon’s were delicious, very tender and cooked just as I requested. The salad bar was basic with the usual fair of salads and veggies but it was adequate. They have a great menu with a lot of variety making it hard to choose as well as an extensive specials board. The Modbury Plaza is very popular and we had to book even on a Wednesday evening! The service was brilliant, kudos to the friendly staff who served with a smile!
Won’t be going back here until I see consistent positive reviews. Ate here last night. Ordered a dozen oysters kilpatrick and they were so small they were the size of cockles – total rip off! Had a beef schnitzel which was about 3mm thick (excluding the crumbs) and leathery. The chips were over cooked too. All in all a waste of money for very average food.
All meals were very nice. Only negative was three meals came out and fourth meal only came out after the three were finished. Food was very good.
Food was excellent value for the price. The movie dinner deal with Hoyt’s across the road is awesome!
Wheres the beef?. Had a cheap cut of mystery meat that the plaza calls a rump steak. The meat was full of gristle. They would have done better to drive over to Coles and buy a couple of t bones on special for 6 dollars and cooked them. As it was, i paid 30 dollars for and yes i did get a hand full of small chips. must have been the bottom of the bag. All in all, i can say that I fell full ripped off. I have given this joint a few goes and they continue with this substandard meat. The partner ordered the filet, which was about the size of a 50 cent piece wrapped in bacon. Anyways, nice renovation but would not suggest you go for the steak……many other better choices in town. By the way, this place has no business calling this a Texas spice steak. You would never be able to find this awful cut of beef served in Texas. !
Went here with another couple, we went up to the counter and told we could take a table, not shown to the table simply pointed out in a vague direction.Ordered a couple of drinks and looked at the salad bar because we were starving,no thanks will just wait for our mains.I ordered the Plaza Burger ($17), my partner ordered the Salmon Steak ($27),my friend ordered the Mixed Grill ($33) and his partner just grabbed a bowl of wedges ($8.50). When we got our meals, I was none too impressed at the value for money, my burger was ok but the 7 complimentary chips on the plate could have been more plentiful. My partners salmon was tiny and had a bone in it, my friends mixed grill was just some meat slapped together with an egg that smelt off. Once again a tiny serving. For the price you are paying I would expect larger servings or at least some decent quality. Best value for money were the wedges as they were huge!I won’t be back.
