I’ve been going to BBQ Hill since it originally opened. It has now gone downhill so much that I will never go there again.My boyfriend and I always order the same things which are honey chicken, lemon chicken and the BBQ Hill special fried rice. The chicken dishes had gone downhill by quite a bit some time ago but the fried rice was always still good so we kept coming back. This last time however not only was the rice not fried (just coated in oil) but it was also missing ingredients. It only had the rice, oil, peas, corn and a small amount of egg. To make matters worse the chicken clearly had not been battered correctly so it just fell off into sauces that were like water they were so thin.Also the prices currently listed here are completely wrong, the pictures are also outdated. The prices here are from when they opened. The prices are also higher if you eat in compared to if you order take away. I was pretty disgusted when I found that out especially since their drink prices are higher when you dine in as well and it’s still served in the can it came in, no glass provided. If you dine in and want a container to take your leftovers home you also get charged 50c per container.
I’ve eaten here many times and always found the food quality to be reliably above average. Staff are always excellent, never hovering but look up for a waiter and one will appear. Plenty of good Chinese food in the hills but this one is my favourite.
