Love this place and and never had a bad experience over the last few years. Always be back, so recommended for sure for whoever is thinking of trying it out
We have been eating at Genghis Khan for a number of years now. We used to visit the old location before they moved to Rostrevor. We are always happy with the quality of the food and service! The food is delicious, plus great value for money! Only downfall is having to wait in line for your meal when it is busy – still, in saying that it is always worth the wait! Highly recommend for a relaxed dining experience!
Been meaning to try out Genghis khan for a while and finally got the chance to try it today. Located in Rostrevor Campbelltown, so it may be a far drive for some, but if you are ever in the area its a good place for a casual dinner.Owned and run by a family, so the atmosphere was very friendly. Space was great with plenty of sitting. The lighting was quite dark though, but it suits the place.Of course we were here for the all you can eat. It was make your own meal kind, with a selection of meats, veggies and sauces to choose from. There are recipes of different types of meal you can make on the walls, so if you want to be safe follow the recipes (I recommend the bean sprout chicken). After collecting the ingredients one of the cooks will take your bowl and properly cook it for you over what I can only describe as a giant flat wok heated by firewood, very interesting contraption. The cooked food was pretty good. It had good flavour and if you use the right ingredient and the amounts it would be even better. I ended up eating about 5 bowls worth.Overall, it was a great experience at Genghis Khan. It is a tad far for me to travel to on a regular basis but for a casual meal with some mates, its a great place.
Came here with a group of friends. It was a nice unique experience to have the buffet. We didn’t book for 7 of us, but that was no hassle, plenty of space. We sat down and we’re asked for drinks -standard options as you’d expect. We then recharged some delicious bread. It’s like sausage roll pastry without the meat in it!After a bit of chit chat we were up and making our own stir fry meals. Quite a selection to add, and quite daunting but knowing if what your putting together will work. At least there’s some guidance on the board of ingredients to make whatever they suggest.Had a great time. I think it’s a better place for large groups. Probably wouldn’t come here on a date….
Pretty much what you’d expect from this sort of place. If you chose to come here you know what you’re in for and won’t be disappointed. The food experience generally has to do with how you make up your own meal: put plenty of the condiments onto your meal, definitely don’t hold back otherwise it can end up somewhat bland. The sides are a bit average and the lack of plain, white rice was quite surprising.Overall if your hungry and what a unique dining experience, but nothing artisan, come here.
Mongolian style BBQ. My partner and I came her before and we are coming back their great food. We pick our own ingredients and they would cook that for you. Hot and tasty! Good job!
For approx. $25 a head, this is all you can eat Mongolian BBQ. You help yourself to a range of fresh sliced meats and vegetables, add your sauces and then your bowl is cooked whilst you wait in just a minute or two. It’s piping hot, non processed carbs, tasty and so healthy. I can’t fault it. The restaurant itself is a little shabby with rough and ready decor and slightly brusque bar service, but the atmosphere is always buzzing with families, groups and couples. They serve seasame flat bread as an accompaniment, and chocolate fondue for desserts. A great meal out for the family.
