Bononia is a charming little dessert caf. It is happy place with friendly staff, and the sparkly lights at night-time gives a fairy-tale atmosphere. A compact space, just right for pausing over an espresso or affogato with a little sweet treat on the side. Perhaps a biscotto or small cake, or some of the house-made gelati.There are a couple of dozen gelati flavours, including dairy and non-dairy options. Star flavour is the crema antica egg custard gelato with lemon. gelido.com.au

Amazing! Can’t wait to go back! We went here last night and got the 1 litre take home with 3 flavours and beyond happy with all three flavours. Staff were really nice and gelato was the best I’ve had!!
Tonight is my first visit to Bononia and what a wonderful surprise it was. I had a 2 scoop gelati in a waffle cone for only $6.00. I chose cream antica which was a deliciously rich Italian egg custard flavored gelati as well as the Porto which was a sweet, port flavored gelati made from actual port. My husband choose meringue and amaretto and they too were packed full of flavour. They also sell a Sauvignon blanc flavored gelati for those who are interested in something different. If you want rich, creamy and traditional gelati then this is the place for you. We will be back.
Love love loved this ice cream…. Amazing flavours, and lovely owner!! The tiramisu ice cream is to die for!! I’m not a beer drinker but the beer sorbet is great also. Must come back here again!!
