20/10/18Decided to come back to try a proper meal:-poor service-poor foodI won’t be returning.21/10/17 EVENT MENUWe stopped by pre-soccer for a quick meal. Love the decor. Good atmosphere.I am aware that there is currently a prawn shortage but when we ordered a prawn pizza, I expected more than what appeared to be one prawn cut into small pieces & carefully distributed over the base, hidden under a mayhem of rocket.I would have happily paid more (as I expect to for seafood) for whole prawns on each slice.

Had our Canada 150th party at the Cathedral Hotel. They looked after over ninety of us amazingly. Natalie went above and beyond to look after us. All the waitstaff were friendly, helpful and really pleasant. We couldn’t have asked for better service. People loved the food, atmosphere and venue. The Torrens room looks amazing.

Best pizza ever! Well yes it was but I had it again a week later and it wasn’t. Which was disappointing. I wouldn’t chance it again. We went twice pre footy at the Oval on Friday nights. It was busy but the service was okay. Although our meals came out at different times. Good wine list, beer too I’m told.

The Cathedral Hotel has had a major revamp in the last year or so and if you haven’t been for a while you really need to give it a go. The dinner menu is great with plenty of pub favorites that have been modernized. Service is always good and the prices are very reasonable for portion sizes. Pizza specials are offered on Thursday and Friday night. The function rooms are also worth considering with fantastic variety offered with their range of finger food for your next party or event. The wine list is extensive and the upstairs outdoor area is great in summer. Try and avoid the chaos of the footy crowds as you won’t get a true feel for the beauty of the hotel.

Perfect Friday night out with the girls. Parking was a pain but the espresso martini and pizzas were worth the walk! Staff were fantastic, helpful and friendly.

Great new look and vibe. Nice menu, that offers a Tapa’s style ‘something light menu’. I turned up late after work on FRIDAY (8.45pm, I was on business) to be told the kitchen was closed??? ( wonder what our Spanish friends would think of this!). I walked out so disappointed considering I had a really nice meal the night before of 1x Oyster with sherry and vinegar, 1x oyster Kilpatrick , BBQ pork ribs and some really tasty ‘Barossa chorizo’ ! Simple but delicious food! No complaints with food or staff… Just kitchen hours on a Friday when offering a tapa’s style menu? Staff are really friendly. It’s a must go to place.
