The coffee was good but that’s the only nice thing I have to say about this cafe. The cafe is attached to a hotel in North Adelaide called the Meridien. My mother and I ordered 2 coffees and a Ham and cheese croissant. We paid upfront (hate that) and went to get a table noticing quite a few dirty uncleared tables limiting where we could sit. The place wasn’t busy so not sure why this hadn’t been attended to. We waited awhile for our coffees and then a very ordinary looking ham and cheese toastie arrived. We told the waitress it was wrong we ordered a croissant. She looked a bit flustered and left sandwiches there saying she would get a croissant instead. Shortly after a waiter came over to query it and again we told him this was incorrect, we ordered the croissant. Without saying a word he swiftly removed the sandwiches and left without so much as an apology for the stuff up in the order. This waiter was horrible. We waited about 20 mins for the croissant, how ridiculous. He plonked it down on the table, again not uttering a word but his sullen face spoke volumes. No cutlery/second plate was given to us(we were sharing). While we ate this goddamn croissant the same rude waiter started moving tables and chairs loudly near us for about 10mins and completely intruded on our personal space. This was extremely rude and no doubt deliberate. I would have complained to him then and there if my Mother hadn’t stopped me! I’m sure this guy needs more than a few lessons in common courtesy. Avoid this place otherwise you could end up having a similar Fawlty Towers experience to us
