This place does German cakes better than the best German bakers in the Barossa. Everything I have tried here is top quality. The streusel is amazing. I love a good bakery and Perryman’s is up there with the best of them. Basically hidden down Tynte street, those in the know turn down off O’Connell Street to get their much needed carb fix. Carb haters look away now. Love this place. The packed lunch time crowd shows that many others do also.

This bakery has been on my list to try for a while, so I decided to try it this afternoon. The pies came with good reviews so I ordered a Beef and Mushroom pie- the girl who served me told me it had chunky steak inside- It did not. Besides not having hardly any mushrooms or flavour for that matter, the pie had minimal meat, and what was there was shredded, not chunky at all. Also the gravy was not rich and brown like normal pies, but almost clear and jelly-like (like what is inside some chicken pies-yuck). Needless to say I was not that impressed. I didn’t try anything from their sweets cabinet but from what I saw it was nothing special. Would not recommend.

Yum!. Apart from one of our pies being completely wrong – didn’t realise until we were home- lovely , lovely fare. Dropped in last Saturday after kids sport & only happened upon the bakery by chance. Didn’t even know it was there! We’ll be back!

A great hidden gem. Loved the vego pasties and lemon curd tarts! Tucked away off the main street in the heart of North Adelaide, this bakery’s reputation and products makes it a worthwhile detour or pit stop on your way to the park, playground, horse paddocks or Adelaide Zoo – all within walking distance!

Great. First time there but gorgeous little bakery selling sandwich and pies. Everything looks so tasty and obviously home baked, certainly not mass produced. Only tried some of the savoury selection but will be back for desserts. Give them a try for a taste of Adelaide.

My mum always took me here when I was going to Barker kindy! The little pasties are gorgeous especially the cheese and veg as are the tiny pies. I remember getting the little jam pastries when I was 4 and they are still making them. Staff are always lovely. A favorite local for me.

I love Perryman’s!. I really love Perryman’s! I love the small pies! They are a perfect size and taste amazing! I love the cakes and I regularly get these and bring them into work (I secretly pretend that I make them myself!) and they are always a hit! Sometimes the deserts/little cakes etc aren’t that amazing, but I don’t mind because at least they are not mass produced like most bakeries! The staff are always lovely!
