Rebadged as bravos kitchen but the signs still say cafe bravo. Food and prices are cafe reasonable, service is friendly and standard dishes on the menu. I had the vegetarian croquettes which was a bit bland
My wife and I plus another couple had lunch at Bravos Kitchen today. We ordered two large pizzas, a bottle of wine, two beers, and a large bottle of sparkling mineral water. Service was prompt and the girls serving us were friendly. The pizzas arrived almost cold and quite soggy. We should have returned them but we didn’t ….. big mistake. The bottle of white wine was delivered without an ice bucket but that was not a real problem. The coffees afterwards were good but one of the biscuits (the passion fruit shortbread) tasted like it was well past it’s use by date. We did complain afterwards about the pizzas and the staff did apologise. We won’t be back.
extremely disappointed with the food @ 4 pm Monday 24th July 2017 – spaghetti was served cold – more al rubber’e than al dente – taste was so bland that it puts a whole new meaning on the word bland – seriously the dish was extremely poor and reflects on the poor standard of the cafe – I would only recommend the cafe to my worst enemies
Bravo has been a fixture on our visits to Adelaide so we’re disappointed that the change to Bravo’s Kitchen has resulted in poorer food quality, service and atmosphere. Bravo used to do traditional family-style Italian food and had a great cabinet of antipasti and Italian desserts. Now the menu is a mishmash of cuisines. We chose two spaghetti dishes – amatriciana and puttanesca. Both had heavy-handed additions of chilli so that it was difficult to taste anything else. We weren’t tempted by the selection of raw cakes and protein balls in the cabinet. The service was competent but didn’t have the friendly warmth of previous visits, and the place was cold and not very busy even on a Thursday night.
Meal order forgotten, when it finally arrived my piadina was cold and boring. Pizza was only passable. Was a favourite cafe for Sunday lunch. Lost our custom. Ladies toilets were disgustingly dirty and had not been cleaned in a LONG time. Never eat here again.
First time here since change of owners and I won’t be back again… Great choice of items on the menu but food presentation and taste could be better. Girl whotook our order for Sunday breakfast was more interested in the other staffs conversation going on behind her. Not impressed!
Lexie and Lucy went to cafe Bravo and this is how it went. First we arrived, surprised to see some changes to the well known and well loved Cafe Bravo. Now called Bravo’s Kitchen, with a funky new menu, we were not disappointed!Initial friendly and accomodating service was promising. The menu was clear, appealing and extensive, with very credible consideration to vegan and gluten free options. The menu items we chose were the tri coloured beetroot salad, pollo avocado fettuccini and obviously a classic garlic bread. They were delicious but I have to say that the servings were very big. I loved the atmosphere in general but I felt like the interior looked fairly sparse as a result of the old Bravo menu blackboards being wiped clear, but the table decor was attractive. As I got up to go to the bathroom I had realised that they were in a small cold environment – a little disappointing considering the rest of the restaurant was great. The bathrooms were external to the main restaurant but it was better than nothing.Overall a great early evening dining experience from an old favourite under new ownership. We will be back!
