We ordered kottu (srilankan traditional dish) for takeaway for 5 people from B & U restaurant. As we opened the takeaway boxes at home, we were surprised. It costs us 17$ per person and the quantity was not even enough for a child. Too much money for a small dish worth like 8$. It was not tasty as much as the traditional Sri lankan dish that we get back in Sri lanka. We were still hungry after eating that and we had to spend more money to get food from Safran restaurant which tasted really good. REALLY DISAPPOINTED with the food and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND for anyone.
Negative Comments- Comments about the food(Kottu) we ordered to take away – Well Kottu is a great and a delicious dish in sri lanka and the ingredients used to cook kottu is very cheap but B & U was very poor in serving the quantity for the price. For $17 they gave only a little which is enough for a bird.B & U is not fair at all with food. We ordered 5 kottu’s to take ways for our 5 family members, we were not satisfied at all for there food and quantity, if someone sees the plate anyone can see how stingy they are when serving food. The prices are ridiculously high for the quantity…..the kottu they gave us is worth only $ 8 dollars….. all of us was pissed off when we saw the food and sadly we had to go to saffran to buy filling food.I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND B & U restaurant TO ANYONE.
Beautiful little restaurant. Fantastic Sri Lankan food at a good price. The customer service is also amazing! Highly recommend for that quiet dinner out.

Best in Adelaide. The lady serving is really kind and warm to anyone. I think the food is awesome with great color and it’s served hot. It brings the taste of Sri Lanka in every bite. The environment is calm and peacefull. The cook is friendly with everyone aswell. Thousands and thousands of credits for the fabulous food and service.
Great local restaurant!. With my daughter going to Sri Lanka in a weeks time, we thought we’d try some of the local cuisine. We were greeted by a lovely lady who actually was from the area my daughter is visiting. Her local knowledge was awesome and very helpful. The meal we all enjoyed, very tasty and filling! With a table of 6, we were able to try many different entree and main course dishes:, lamb, chicken, vegetarian, all well presented plus the naan bread was delicious! Well worth trying this restaurant but suggest you book as it can get busy! We will definitely be going back there sooner rather than later! Keep up the great job guys, it was terrific! 5*
Horrible. Service was terrible. The lady was naggy and patronising and unpleasant. She shouldn’t be working at the front of house. But what was really disappointing is the food. All the curries tasted the same. From the potato, fish and prawn curries, not only did they taste the same they looked the same. Like it all came from the same curry paste and base. Price is cheap but so is the quality of the food. Better places by far would be Delhi Spice, Zafran, Raj on Taj, Urban India or even Charminar. We will never come back again.
