Excellent service and very friendly Indian staff. 10/10. Probably best restaurant in the Port. You have to get Indian food naturally. It was packed night we went and the service was fast. Nice and cool from the heat but a little sparse on the decor.
Great Indian food, many choices, not very spice, suitable for most of visitors! We had green curry, yellow curry and green one, all nice. Chai tea is beautiful but too small pot, hope it is bigger in future.
Very impressed. Didn’t expect such good Indian in port augusta. Highly recommended. Friendly service and fairly well priced. We enjoyed it very much
Whilst this is far from the best Indian food I have ever had, being from Adelaide where we are spoiled for choice, I had a great dining experience with my friend here in a Saturday night. We shared the samosas, butter chicken, Standpipe bakra (goat) curry, basmati rice & garlic naan. The goat was disappointingly tough and not melt-in-the-mouth as I had imagined it would be. Don’t order it if you don’t love ginger – fortunately I do. The butter chicken was good, but the sauce could have been richer. Rice was overpriced at $5 per head, even though it was a decent-sized bowl – there must be a high profit margin! Naan was a bit soggy. We ordered dessert which was excellent – chocolate overload and sticky fig & whisky pudding both great. My flat white was very weak. Service was good – attentive & courteous. This is a popular place & I can see why but my expectations were not met based on their reputation.
