The food was simply delicious, very filling and is sure to make you want to come back. Menu lengthened for many picky people and lots of options, overall great restaurant and is fit for big families and friend outings!
Not a nice place to visit. Iam a handicapped person and had been to the Tavern a number of time and enjoyed meeting the local and some members of the staff. The lady in the TAB area told me she backed every horse in the recent Melbourne Cup and I just stirred her up on how lucky she was. I had a good win on the Saturday races and collecting a tidy sum of money and the next thing she went off the deep end screaming that she had worked 15 hrs straight and did not need this and as she counted my winning on the bar counter told me to F.CK off. I advised that with attitude I would not be returning to the tavern Went down to speak to the owner who first of all disbelieved me & then confronted the staff member and the truth came out but was happy to lose me as a customer. Suggest that anybody else wants the same treatment just go in but then my recommendation is not to go any where near the port Hughes tavern !!!!!!!!!!!!!
My opinion. 8 of us dined here on a Saturday night when the place was packed.The meals were reasonably priced and were very nice, the salad and vegie bars were on par if not better than some expensive restaurants we’ve been to. The staff were very friendly and full credit to the cooks. Overall a great little place to visit. 10/10
I think this place either has new management or they have hired new chefs.For a pub they have a pretty impressive salad bar!Nice variety of staple schnitzel toppingsIf you’re after a nice pub meal you can’t go wrong
Plenty of range on the menu, tends to be expensive. However, on Saturday night at 6pm they ran out of Steak!!!
