Great salad bar! But meals are average and $40 for a fillet migon! I think i will wait till i go to Adelaide. Where i know i will get a steak worth $40. Chips are pretty good though.
The Risdon Hotel would have to be my favourite pub in Port Pirie but in saying that the amount and quality of pubs in Pirie is quite low. Their menu seems reasonable and quality of food is alright. They have a salad bar with a variety of ‘salads’. The staff seemed friendly and helpful enough. I just find the interior drab and depressing. It’s obvious the focus is on the pokies and gaming so as a result it’s very dark inside. The interior is very old too, but has some character. I would recommend it over the other pubs in Port Pirie.
Good Pub Grub. If you are looking for decent pub food in Port Pirie, then the Risdon Hotel is as good as any. They do Chicken Parma, Steak, and Fish particularly well.They have the typical salad and veg bar – quantity over quality.Several menu items are Cajun/Creole style. I’m not sure what market research determined that there was an unsatisfied demand in Port Pirie for Cajun/Creole food!
