Terrible experience. Food, customer service, atmosphere, facilities, value for money were dreadful. I don’t know where to start. A local pub with an indoor playground BUT no change table for littlies. This doesn’t make sense. This is forgivable because it’s not all about families with kids. When I asked for the table by the playground I received a very awkward ‘I suppose’ from the teenager behind the bar. Annoying. The meals took a long time (for a pub). After 30 min we asked for some rolls for the kids to tide them over. We could… for $1 each. This is not looking after customers. Meals finally arrived. Mine was nice. My wife’s was still FROZEN. The Graziers Pie on a bed of mash. The mash was still frozen. Not just cold but a solid frozen lump. Unforgivable. At the point we had had enough. Requested money back (not another meal intentionally) which couldn’t be done electronically by the way because of rules and stuff. The worst of all of the was the way the staff dealt with this. The smug teenagers behind the counter thought it was funny. The maitre d came out Ready to defend her charges. We were grumpy and said we weren’t happy with the meal because you know… it’s frozen. She defended everyone and everything and didn’t apologise or even seem apologetic while smug teenager #1 and smug teenager #2 grinned behind her. Couldn’t believe it. Left the venue without finishing any meal. I can only put it down to lack of training, low expectations cynical staff who don’t like customers much.
Had a private function there last night and feel so sorry for my sister in lawThe food once it finally came out two hours later and once the staff found the write table was terrible food was over cooked cold over priced The drink were even worse very overpriced made a big mental note to never book a private function there
2 hours and no meal. Staff unhappy at us politely asking for an eta. Buffet of salads, soup and vegies half empty. Asked specifically if more soup was coming and was told 10 minutes – its heating now. 1 hr later…no soup. Very disappointed. And we had booked – it’s not like they didn’t know we were coming. Very disappointing
I went here when it first opened/changed into the schnitzel house and hated the place – but it’s so much better now! The salad and veg bar is always nice, unfortunately the soup is always lacking any flavour whatsoever (but it’s free). They have a delicious eggplant schnitzel and you can still pick any of the topping – I love it with the Mediterranean topping. Plus there’s always good specials, bring a mate Monday – buy one get one free!
Amazing menu! 30, yes, 3…. Amazing menu! 30, yes, 30 different schnitzel toppings on the menu choose from chicken or beef, as well as other very inviting meals. And are available in 3 different sizes!Kids meals include fish n chips, Schnitzels, nuggets, pasta. And receive a free drink and ice cream. All meals include the salad bar where you can serve yourself as soon as you’ve placed your meal order. I have not yet received unfresh salad. The atmosphere is generally the same as any tavern venue. You have to book in advance (due to popularity) and wait at the door to be seated. The kids play area is fully accessible and visible from the dining area. Although it is enclosed by full height glass Windows the noise from the kids is still very loud. It is very distracting when trying to enjoy your meals. It has built in play equipment like you see at Mcdonald’s playgrounds, though no where near as big. The staff are generally friendly, though often distracted when taking your order. The ordering area when ordering your meal: only one point of service and on friday and Saturday nights you will find you have to stand in line up to 15mins.Even with the negatives the food is still well worth the wait and distractions and priced reasonably.
I hated it there.. Let me start off, with that I’m a commercial cookery student. I know food. I’m not being egotistical, I just do. It’s my job. and when I get a bowl of chickpea salad with what both has the look and texture of a large chunk of gelatine in my food, I’ll complain and ask for another. The staff at the bar, however, didn’t care and just fobbed me off to another waiter who didn’t ask me what was wrong, she just looked at the meal, handed me a menu and asked if I’d like to choose something else.Does this mean that this happens to everyone? The replacement meal, was supposed to be an Eggplant Schnitzel, of which was drowned in so much Tomato Concasse, that I couldn’t taste anything but tomato.Never come here. Ever.
Have eaten here twice, and never again. Food very average (probably the worst schnitzel I’ve ever eaten) and wait times are ridiculous. There are much better places in the area to eat.
