Love this authentic English pub. Decor and dim lighting just adds to the authenticity and is awesome. There always something for the kids to spot and get curious about. Meals are tasty and HUGE! Staff are lovely and respectful. The bar is usually packed, so sometimes takes a while to get a drink. But that happens everywhere.
Good little local pub. Quick and efficient service. The bacon and sage crusted pork rib eye was delicious, the champ was great. Enjoyed the decor as well.
A great local pub with a good British style menu for both Bar and Restaurant,,Top international ales and lagers on Tap, friendly Staff,Only problem we have found is there is no Seating Plan for the Restaurant online to enable Foodies like us to book a Favourite Table before arriving a day or so earlier at a set time,
If you like bland under seasoned food then this is the place for you. The lamb shanks are so oily and bland that it bordered on inedible. The mash potato tasted gluey like it had come out of a packet. If a British pub can’t get mashed potato right then you know there’s a problem. Will not be returning.
Went for dinner, no reservation as the waitress showed us to a table of 4 in which there was only 2 of us, she muttered I just hope we don’t get busy.. Bit rude.. Ordered kilpatrick oysters for entree, they weren’t cooked barely any bacon, however the Angus schnitzels were fantastic.. So was the Diane sauce.. The waitresses took their time clearing tables but they did get it done.. And at the end they had plenty of tables spare.. So there wasn’t any need for that comment.
Dined for the first time at this British Pub last week, and absolutely loved it! Had a beef and Guinness pie, was served by a real life English person, and was offered another wine at my table before mine was even finished. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. It’s all I ask
A+ Beef Burger. I’ve been here a few times for lunch. My recent go-to has been the Beef Burger. The patty is quite large but delicious. What I find most interesting and somewhat surprising is a beetroot paste/mash. Classically, it’s combined with lettuce, tomato, and onions. However, the beetroot mash is something a bit different. I find that flavours complement very well and keep on going back to the burger.I would come back any time for a casual mid-week lunch.
