First up i thought the front of house staff were hard working and courteous, which is always a great sign. We went to try the new menu, and it has a lot more ‘chefy’ options than before, like pistachio crumbed chicken, slow cooked ribs, s&p pork belly salad etc. Anyway we ordered standard pub food, a rump and a linguini marinara. The marinara was crazy chilli hot, i love super hot food but it was way over the top. To their credit they replaced it sans chilli and it was great. The tomato base was deep in flavour. The way they handled our complaint was brilliant, a sign of well trained and thoughtful staff. Would highly recommend a visit as it suits both pub grub and slightly more adventurous diners.

The filling was over salted, The Mash Potato tasted like it was made with powered fake mash not out of Real Spuds, The second time I had a Beef Schnitty. How can you kill a Schnitty??? It was that dry that if I hit it on the edge of the table it would of broken in 2 pieces. The Staff were Slack. The only thing good about the Slug & Lettuce is the Imperial Pints & Bar Staff.

Mashed potato was supposed to be creamy but that’s not what I got. I also had a Macaroni and Cheese Ball and found it very cold in the middle. I wouldn’t go back again.
