Vegetarian isnt vegetarian. Be warned – their vegetarian foodisnt actually vegetarian (despite being labelled as such). It is heavily dosed with fish sauce which overpowers the whole dish. After advising staff, I was not offered a refund or another meal. Very unimpressed.
Disappointed.. Ordered the lemongrass stirfry dish – spicy. I was charged extra for the chilli (mind you the dish turned out mild at best) and there was no taste of lemongrass to the dish at all. If the worker had not repeated my order to me as I picked it up and I was the only person in the restaurant I would be convinced that I had the wrong meal. The service was pretty slow too – despite me being the only person in there. A poor experience.
Local diner. I ordered beef rendang. A few chunks of fiavourless chewy meat and an awful lot of cabbage. My partner had a duck dish with equally excessive amounts of cabbage! We had an Entertainment Book voucher but they wouldn’t honour it, saying that they weren’t part of the Red Rock franchise. We won’t be going back.
I love this place. The food is fresh and made on the spot in full view and it’s always tasty. My favourite is their rice paper cold rolls made to order. Best ever. What is that dipping sauce? It’s so yum.No fluro MSG food here just great Asian cooking.Affordably priced, easy to get a table, comfortable for kids, close to the beach. What’s not to like? We go there often.
Terrible!. We ordered delivery as a special treat for the family. It cost just over $70 for prawn crackers, 2 curry puffs, 2 cold rolls, BBQ vegetables, green chicken curry, combo noodles, special fried rice and steamed rice – so NOT cheap! The food took an hour and a half to arrive (I called at the hour mark and was told it was definitely on its way). When it did get here it was cold, the curry puffs were missing and the kids had come off of two of the containers slopping their contents through the paper bag. The green chicken curry looked radioactive and seems to have had an alarming amount if green food colouring added (?!?) – the picture doesn’t do the shade of green justice, it actually looked FAR greener than this, it was almost glowing! Suffice to say we shall not be returning to Red Rock at Semaphore any time in the near future, if ever, again!
They don’t listen to their customers nor ask what the customer would prefer. Communication is poor from staff, but food is to expected quality. They need to fix their front line service to keep people returning
Terrible noodles, stay beef was watery and lacked any punch and the Char kway teow was nothing like the traditional dish, no char siu pork or Chinese sausage and was cooked in a sweet chilli sauce not soy.
