DUMPLINGS!We go here for the dumplings. We recently got back from Singapore but Bei Fang’s dumplings are tops. I have tried a couple of the other dishes on the menu but why fill up on them when you can eat lots of dumplings? However, I also like to eat the fried dim sims with my dumplings. There is plenty of shared parking out the back so you don’t have to walk too far for your dumplings.WARNING – no booze license but BYO is ok with your…dumplings.PS. I love dumplings. PPS. They have a loyalty card for dumplings. Buy 9 serves & the 10th is free – don’t forget to get your card stamped.
Great fresh food with colourful vegetables and awesome homemade dumplings. The place is a bit small but it’s perfect for take away. Definitely recommend
Got a take away beef spicy noodles. I was in and out in under 10 minutes and the dish was delicious. Hot, but not very hot, and the vegetables were crunchy. A decent size server too.Bit of a nasty big step getting into the shop if you have any walking difficulties. Will be coming back here.
The rating was given to the dumplings, not any other dishes on the menu. We all loved the spicy lamb dumplings the most. Apart from the fish ones that we didn’t try all others were quite nice as well. We ordered a few stir fried dishes which were just so so. Only the chicken with cashew nuts was not too bad.
Not usually one for Chinese/ dumplings but came here to try them out. Evidently we were in the right place because a customer on the other side of the restaurant came over before we ordered and said ‘MAKE SURE YOU GET THE DUMPLINGS’ and we were not disappointed! Beautiful thin casings, crispy bottom! Nice flavours on the cashew chicken and kway teo and fried rice. The honey chicken was really quite bland though. Overall very good and great price!
where has bei fang gone , been overseas , just got back and wanted my fix of dumplings and honey chicken ,ordered my usual of pan fried spicy chicken and a serve of chicken and chives , came covered in coriander chopped fine so you couldn’t remove it , taste was not the same , chicken for honey chicken has changed from individual battered pieces and honey sauce very weak , not the bei fang of old
A little place on Magill Road that serves pretty good Chinese standards and outstanding dumplings. The ambience, such as it is, is sort of old fashioned shop that’s been bumped up with some very nice furniture, plenty of Chinese objet d’art and some rather sweet flower covered light fittings. There were three of us in for a quick bite before shopping on The Parade. We had fried chicken dumplings, chicken and cashew nuts and fried rice. Simple and quite delicious. The dumplings are the star of the show. Tasty fillings, with plenty of juice and the thinnest of casings.Have to say that the pan frying had perhaps been taken a bit far and instead of being golden brown they were more a sort of crispy charcoal. Still tasty in a barbecued sort of way, but it dd detract a bit from the overall experience. Unless it was intentional I guess.
