We went on $15 burger and beer night. Fantastic deal if you drink beer, we did not. Burger was ok. The soft shell crab slides were dry and tasteless, they were battered, rather than tempered liked soft shell crab usually is
Steak not worth the money for a chargrill place thats a fail. Medium does not mean dry like a desert on the edge and still living in the middle. To top it off the bill was messed up twice.
Good bar food, fast service, friendly staff. What more do you need. Trendy atmosphere, with a good feel. Spicy wings have a good bit of heat, but not enough to blow your head off.
What a shame. We waited very nearly an hour for our meals. Our 3-year-old’s meal took 45 minutes – just a bowl of random pasta (what even? The menu promised penne) thrown together with sauce and near-fossilised meatballs. 45 minutes. And the place was nowhere bear full. Just ridiculous. The kitchen is clearly totally understaffed. I will not go back. Our meals (minus the kids meal) were actually fairly nice, but the experience was so bad that I couldn’t enjoy my food. Get your act together, Republic. There’s no reasonable excuse for this shambolic performance.
50 minutes for 2 adult meals (which were, tragically, nice) with less than 40% of the place full. This rating is mostly because of that. The service people were great – but there was just not enough of them. They spent all night apologising. They had an underage person on wait staff who can’t serve alcohol for goodness sake…. 50% was knocked off the bill by the poor front of house manager – but I would avoid this place till the upper management get their act together. (Also: Kids menu looks great but I’ve seen better quality food served at IKEA.)
I just want to say one thing if your gonna have an open kitchen try not to drink alcohol while customers are still present. I couldnt have been more disgusted to see chefs drinking while working and not even wearing a uniform. The food reflected the chefs aquire, bland and lack of creativity. The service couldnt be reviewed due to the lack of any. Unfortunately another hotel falling victim to looking nice with newely done reovations but completely let down by staff.
