Called in to the Tranquilo Restaurant, Stirling, Adelaide Hills, for a quick coffee and snack this morning. We sat outside in a very well appointed alfresco area. The coffee was good, the service was friendly. We noticed they advertise a special Mexican cuisine on a Monday, so will have to return and check this out.

Coffee great. Eggs scrambled or poached only, no fried. Was given a voucher to review the restaurant, gave it to the local op shop volunteers to use and one reviewed wanted fried eggs and was told the chef does not cook fried eggs. Pity. No review on the food in this instance.

Trenquilo will always be a favourite of mine, always a welcoming environment, lovely staff and amazing food. Never disappointed, I 100% recommend.

Tranquilo is located in the main street of Stirling just near Matilda’s Bookshop. I just dropped in for a quick morning break and was so impressed by the service of the owner and her staff. Very friendly, funny and welcoming. I didn’t eat from the menu – just coffee and cake this time; but I could see from what others were eating that the food looked good and the sizes were generous. Judging only from what I had though – the coffee was a good standard. It was an incredibly hot day so the owner’s suggestion of iced latte for my second cup was a good one, and the little house made citrus slice was something I would not have normally chosen so was a bit of a treat.I will go back again for a full meal but for now I can say that the experience at Tranquilo was excellent – the service alone is enough to make me drive to the Hills to try it again. Best option for parking is on the other side of the road behind Foodland – 3 hour limit. Stirling is a lovely Adelaide Hills town with plenty to do for the day so worth a visit and Tranquilo is a good option. adelaidewriter.com.au

Very disappointing! I have been a regular customer over the past few yrs & recently have seen decline in quality of food and customer service. Went there for breakfast recently, waitress was extremely abrupt and rude and had to be reminded on a number of occasions that we were waiting for food. At one point she was even leaning against the bar like she had nothing to do. After eventually receiving food after 50 min wait, corn fritters had not been cooked through. In fairness to the other waitress she did apologise and offered to remedy the situation. I must say that after this experience though I will not be back again unless drastic changes are made. As this is on the back of a similar instance, not that long ago. What a shame.

Was a great place to have lunch and spend a few hours catching up with friends. Food was great, fish and chips and barramundi both delicious. Unfortunately service not as great as food, friendly enough but orders got forgotten and had to ask 4 times for another bottle of water. Would def give it another go if I was up this way again.
