Traditional French dishes on the menu: why not try the snails or something from the daily specials board? My lorraine omelette was light & fluffy with plenty of filling & accompanied by a fresh, leafy side salad. The complimentary piece of baguette was delicious with a thick smear of butter. Its refreshing to eat in a cafe where the diners are chatting, not staring at their phones.I want to go back for the three cheese souffle.

We were a big table and between the 12 of us we sampled an extensive part of their menu. Although some dishes were a bit of a miss in terms of flavours (bouillabaisse and onion soup), we thought that the presentation and the other dishes were worth the detour. I shall come again with my family this time.

Terribly disappointed with our own Experience here, were seated for over 1.5 hours without receiving our main meal, 45 minutes after entree and still not received, staff not even the slightest apologetic.

This place is a real find — we’ll be back!. We’re fussy about seafood. It has to be fresh and cooked to perfection. At this unpretentious little place the seafood crepe is superb.

Bistrofrance is nearly very good. My wife began with a French classic of goats cheese salad. This is a dish all the better for its simplicity however at BF the salad is a little fussy/busy and the goats cheese, bizarrely, is deep fried. A shame really. My chicken liver pt was good. My mignonette of beef with potatoes and a pepper sauce was okay though lacked a bit of spice. Wife reported her duck a l’orange good. We shared a side of the ‘house’ potatoes, a type of gratin dauphinois (potatoes baked in cream, cheese and garlic) and here again was some pointless embellishment in the addition of a layer of pastry on the top. Classic French dishes rarely need tarting up and when the kitchen understands the concept of less is more at times then this could be a really good bistro. 7/10

The best. Not only the best place to eat French food, but place to eat full stop. Pricey for a cafe set up, but well worth it. Try the kir royale for a drink. Anything seafood is good here. Desserts, try the crepes or creme brle.

Charming little spot. Good food, good service and good ambience. Charming! A little on the expensive side but it is located in yuppieville so maybe it was just me who thinks that way…
