SATURDAY NIGHT DINNER (AT THE RETIREMENT VILLAGE)Damien is open to the public & worth a visit.The dining room is huge & airy with lots of full length windows & there is an open kitchen.She had the special bangers & mash with onion gravy & demolished the lot.He had black mussels (a generous entree) plus a side of diamond cut fries with ailoi & enjoyed it.I had the beef fillet (medium) with vegies. It was a delicious piece of meat, although the broccolini was a bit hard & crunchy.For afters she & I shared a fluffy warm sticky date pudding with ice cream & toffee sauce.I also had an extra hot hot chocolate to wash it down.There is a coffee lounge nearby with a selection of cakes for a casual visit.With attentive service & good food, I would be happy to return to this hidden treasure.
