Disgusting curry, rice ball was inedible wasted $20 on this. Service was poor. We ordered chips to start and never received them. For a 30-40 minute wait I am Very let down. After not finishing our meals, still tried to be charged for chips we didn’t receive and no apology from staff on the poor quality.

The coffee has improved dramatically.  Last visit dinner visit I had mussels, lots of sauce, was great dipping my chips.  Now just recently we went for breakfast.  French toast with strawberries and caramel yogurt, perfect.

Visited this restaurant by chance, we had two Mismatch Brewing Co Session Ales from the tap $17 and the Anchorage Seafood Platter To Share $74.We sat out the front and enjoyed the view and atmosphere, the venue is in a good location. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The platter arrived, a little underwhelming in size and disappointing to find discrepancies between menu and what is plated up. The Boston Bay Mussels had been swapped out for Goolwa Pipis, not a huge thing, had the chilli sauce not overpowered the subtle flavour of the pipis, whereas it may have complemented the more meaty mussels. The menu described mixed coffin bay oysters, one would be expecting a mix of Kilpatrick, Natural etc not just Kilpatrick, the oysters were by far the smallest Coffin Bay oysters I have come across, more similar in size to Sydney Rock oysters. When I offered feedback on the menu changes, the Manager said these things happen sometimes, due to availability and that the Goolwa Pipis were great at the moment. I felt this was missing the point that changes should be communicated before serving the plate. He offered $10 off the $74 menu price for our troubles. The menu items we chose didn’t meet expectations and in my experience overpriced for what we received, even with $10 off. The stand out was the Session Ale from Mismatch Brewing Co.

Dined her last night because other than pubs there wasnt much else at victor Harbor. My partner ordered the fillet steak . That was very well done and he was very pleased . I ordered the marinara pasta . It was okay but not great . Not enough seafood in the dish . Sauce was not rich but tasty enough . The pasta was over cooked and the portion size was not satisfying. If I was a man or a big eater I would still be left hungry .I forgot to add that when we were first seated the waiter asked us if we wanted table water. He gave us a choice if we wanted plain or sparking . I opted for the sparking . I don’t know we had to pay for this . I thought it was a nice complimentary gesture! Anyway. I don’t want to be too negative because they have improved overall but the food is pricey for what was served . Maybe it is priced for the overseas tourist coming in with the euro , pound and USA dollar. Certainly not priced for locals ! Will I visit again ! Yes. If I am in the area and nothing else is open . Much better choices near McLaren vale . Cheaper too!

I’d ignore the older ratings. Food was excellent. Perfectly cooked and tasted great. Our table had several different menu items. Couldn’t fault any. Need to order at the bar, but doesn’t really spoil the experience.
