Veal Schnitzel With Chips And Salad And A Yenda IPA. Tender Veal. Craft beer, although entry level, is better than the usual.

Good service and venue, but foods lacks quality for $. Ordered bruschetta for entre and besides the fact of having to make your own, the bread was filled with holes and made it difficult to even load the small amount of topping onto it. A tiny bowl of chopped tomato (wouldn’t have even been one small tomato) and cheese was given and definitely didn’t justify the $9 charge. Main was Atlantic salmon on a pumpkin puree with hollandaise sauce and salad. The meal had good taste but salad was a joke. Salad consisted of two small slices of tomato, two slices of cucumber that didn’t taste fresh, and too much lettuce. As tomatoes are cheap in summer, I don’t understand why they couldn’t give more with the bruschetta and salad. For $25.50, it seemed a bit pricey for the quantity. This is a really nice historic pub with good atmosphere, and I think with the improvement of food, it would make a great place to dine out.

Great little pub. Went last weekend snd had the surf and turf special and a chicken burger. if I had to pick the bearnaise sauce on the surf n turf was store bought and average… but overall the meals were good.we had hoped to find the barmaid from the darkside… but no such luck as all staff were very friendly.will definitely be going back

Nice venue and good food but one bar maid/cashier was awfully rude to customers. Felt very unwelcome and was close to walking out.

Great Food – Bar maid from the dark side. We loved the rustic atmosphere, our meals, and the live music. The food was very well presented for pub-fare, the portions were generous and tasty. On the darker side, the passive-aggressive bar maid / cashier made it fairly obvious to everyone she really did not enjoy being there. This was a big negative for what should have been a pleasant weekend evening. JW

We just visited here and ordered the Tandoori Chicken pizza and a Southern Fried Chicken salad – Both were perfect and bursting with fresh flavours. I highly recommend this place – Great food and great service! We had a pram/stroller and the owner opened the door for us and helped us to our seats.A previous review mentioned uncomfortable seats, but they all have cushions on them and I found them quite comfortable.Glad we came here, and we will be back! 🙂 Also there are toys for kids, and an outdoor dining area out the back.

Good pub on the hill!. There are some gems amongst the starters/tapas selection (the pork belly and also the berries + Camembert deserve a mention) although overall the menu is quite traditional its very good quality. The food is tasty, warm and the venue is welcoming.
