The carrot cake we had with our coffee was delicious. We bought one piece to share as it was huge. Moist cake and it was simply a must try!

We have been here several times over the past couple years and the service and food has always been great. The owner is lovely and it is evident that she is passionate about her business. However today’s breakfast experience was a disappointment and it’ll probably be our last. I don’t mind paying for good food but the poached eggs were watery and $4 extra for literally four tiny slices of cooked mushrooms is unreasonable. Another outside diner had two large dogs off their leads, letting them run under our table and over our legs. There was a sharp exchange of words where he pointed out the cafe is dog friendly and we should perhaps go elsewhere if not to our taste – we asked him to just put the dogs on a lead. A reasonable request as there were children present and it was not fair to let other patrons endure dogs literally at their feet while they eat. I appreciate this is not management’s fault but it soured our experience. If it is indeed dog friendly then perhaps remind patrons with a polite sign that if they choose to have their furry friends accompany them – be respectful of other patrons and have them on a lead. The final straw was having multiple flies crawl through our food. Take home message – if it’s summer, get a table in doors or eat quickly (unless you don’t mind a side order of flies).

Great dessert rate find so far out from Adelaide. Service from Molly and Libby was great. Interesting vegan choc dessert blueberries and coconut. Humongous ice coffee that could feed a town. Simple but must stop by place.

We’ve eaten at Golden Fleece several times. The reason we went back is because this place has a nice ‘retro’ feel, its cool and the food is really nice. The service is good, though the people serving could be friendlier, but I admit that’s hard to do when you are working your butt off serving and cooking. Overall, I’ll keep returning to Golden Fleece and keep recommending it to others. The build your own breakfast is a cool idea – its good food, good coffee, moderate price in a good atmosphere.

Fleeced Yes, Satisfied No. …. Fleeced Yes, Satisfied No.This place was thoroughly disappointing. We aren’t usually complainers and are happy to pay $18-20 for a good quality breakfast. But after three failed attempts at getting our orders right our patience wore thin. Too add to it the service was also sub par. Sadly can’t recommend and won’t be back. May have been an off morning for the crew but one that means we won’t be back.

Yummy!. I went for lunch here last week and had a veggie stack and a juice, it was so good! So many different flavours on one plate and it looked amazing. The staff were friendly and really helpful, knew a lot about the food and were very smiley 🙂

Ehhh. I mean, the food was quite filling & tasty. The service was horrible, I’m talking about a decent or more 45 minutes for drinks. Then 20 minutes more for our food (which was only two plates) a bit cold too. I do love the liver cleanse juice tho. I have mixed feelings about this cafe.
