Desperate to find a coffee late on a Sunday heading back from Cape Jervis we finally stumbled across Lillas after having no luck at a number of other places along the way. They were ‘just’ opening for the evening service and were so kind to whip up some coffees for us. Both were great. The place was really cute and cozy and would be awesome for a meal. The wonderful lady that served us was super friendly and helpful. The sweets in the cabinet looked super yum!
On our way to Cape Jervais, we stood by to have lunch at Lilla’s cafe. I ordered a vegetarian baguette which looked delicious and tasted even better. It was healthy and had the perfect combination of flavour and taste. I also ordered a chocolate milkshake which was served to me in a huge glass, it felt like I had almost one litre of it. This place is small but has two great seating areas, the one outside is more preferable. The service is excellent and the food was served to use in below 15 minutes.
Cafe full of character with a calm garden area out the back. Food was well cooked and lots of variety on the menu. Always stop in here on the way south and will continue to do so.
A cute, homely café in Yankalilla is Lilla’s café. Owners Ina and Ron Tremaine serve up breakfast, lunch and wood oven pizzas. It’s a popular spot to stop for a bite to eat or for a coffee. It’s a light airy café with bright paintings from local artists on the walls and a lovely outdoor garden area. We ate here twice, for breakfast, including the public holiday Monday.
Breakfast – we were on the way out of town and decided to pop in. This is a quaint little shop with packing a great micro climate of atmosphere. Although we only had the breakfast menu, the food was great. Eggs to perfection. Good food, homely feel, what more could you want?
