Excellent beef brisket; very tasty and well cooked, excellent service and good value for the food. Overall, very happy with our meal and would return if back in Hobart.

Awful service, overpriced. very low average food quality. Waited for our order more than 40 min as they forgot us. I would not recommend this place.

Came here after a day of touring wineries in hopes of continuing to eat and drink my way through Hobart. It took 20 minutes to flag someone down to give us menus, and after more than 25 minutes of watching tables on either side of us be served without as much as our drink order being taken we got up and went elsewhere. The decor is nice, the food looked delicious. Pity we weren’t given an opportunity to order.

Atmosphere is great both indoors and outdoors. Service can be quite slow as staff is constantly serving food and drinks. Salmon with crispy skin is cooked to almost perfection at medium rare.Sauted veggies consist of broccolini & spinach is quite salty but fresh.Beer battered chips is awesome!!Green tea comes with a teapot of flavorsome leaves.

It’s not very often that we have the pleasure of leaving someone a 5 Star review, but our meal and service was one of the highlights of our time spent in Hobart. We arrived to find the restaurant about 3/4s full at 7 o’clock on a Saturday evening, having a guest with us on wheels, we were more than happy to sit under the heated area outside as to avoid causing any nuisances inside by taking up too much space. We were seated for no longer than 30 seconds before being greated and served chilled water. Upon insisting we sit inside in the warmth we explained our situation, which was met with nothing but kindness and a keen sense of initiative and with a short trip inside, we were advised that she had made available a perfectly suitable table for us to dine and not feel in anyone’s way. After an easy re-location, drinks orders were immediately taken and promptly served. We opted for the tapas menu which was honestly and knowledgeably described to us by friendly wait staff. It felt as if no sooner had we engaged in our dinner conversation that our plates were served up all at once, fresh, hot and ready to be consumed. Not one serve could be faulted in any way. The sliders were warm and well prepared, the arancini was hot and well portioned, the cheese balls were tasty and presented exceptionally, the pork belly was cooked to perfection with an exquisite array of flavours and the calamari tasted as if it was caught this afternoon and prepared for us then and there. If not for an unforeseeable sudden change in our plans, we would have stayed for drinks in the bar afterwards. Bravo!

I came to Salamanca for breakfast and intended to go to Laundry Cafe, which is only a a short walk away. The waiting list at Laundry was already long at 10am and I didnt have much time. So I decided to come here as it looked like the next busiest place on the strip. In hindsight I should’ve just waited an extra 15min at Laundry Cafe for a better quality breakfast. I ordered the eggs Benedict with salmon at $19.5. I didn’t have to wait long before it was served. My first reaction was damn it was small. And the black plate it was served in was dusty, I had to wipe the dust of the edges with a napkin before digging in. The poached egg was covering the entire piece of toast it was that small, with a few little pieces of salmon under it. I’ve ordered the exact same thing yesterday at Coffee Club for the same price and it put this contraption to shame. However small it as quite tasty and I managed to put it away in a about 4 minutes. Overall I would rather wait in a que for better quality food. Still hungry too….

Groovy atmosphere, would be awesome for after work drinks or catching up with friends. We went for a bite to eat around 2:30ish on a weekday so it was pretty quiet. The service was pleasant and food was fantastic! We got the pulled pork burger and vegetarian pizza.. It is pricey but what can you except from Salamanca, a popular tourist destination!
