Good food, not too badly priced. Some of the specials we had to ask for explanation, thought it might have been better if the waitress came over to explain them to us, good upsell opportunity that was missed but waitress was knowledgable about the food. But all in all nice lunch, the Italian chocolate torte for dessert was amazing. $45 per person for a lovely lunch, dessert, coffee and soft drink not bad either
Every time we come to Hobart, this is the place we like to visit. Family run restaurant, nice food, friendly service, reasonable price… what else do u want when u re travelling? Only one thing wrong ~ they don’t open on Tuesday ….
Tried Ciuccio for dinner tonight and it was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Greeted with a smile and great service. We dined from the specials – chilli muscles with fettuccine in a Napoli sauce and grilled fish on a bed of squid ink risotto. Both dishes were simple and delicious. We had to order a side of bread to mop up the yummy sauce. Upon finishing, we were offered a complimentary amaretto night cap which was a nice touch and sent us home content with our choice. Ambience was warm and music was romantic and perfectly suited the restaurant. Would definitely return.
Fantastic food. Always very tasty no matter what dish you order. Great atmosphere and the coffee is amazing. Service is very attentive too. Very reasonable prices which is always a good thing.
Loved the food, veal scallopini was perfect and the fennel risotto lovely, service was fabulous. We never do dessert and we just had too, OMG Tiramisu, don’t miss it
Went to this restaurant with my dad and two sons (9&11) as it looked kid friendly and inviting. We ordered starters drinks and mains. Starters came in a reasonable time but mains took a bit longer. It seemed there were only three people in the kitchen including a pony tailed pizza chef who worked more on his looks them on the pizza making. We had order two pizzas and two risottos…40-45min later we queried the waitress who said another 10min. After those 10min…we decided to walk out but pay for what we had. We were told the chef was just making it. Sorry…we paid and left but we didn’t even get an apology firm the so-called bartender or staff. Will not recommend and will not return.
Very disappointing. Recently had lunch here which consisted of 2 tough prawns, 2 tough scallops, 4 even tougher clams tossed through pasta. From memory is cost $26 and it was awful. Having just returned from a Queensland holiday where all seafood meals were fresh, tasty and reasonably-priced, Ciuccio’s was awful. I’m happy to pay well for decent food but when I could can cook a better meal at home, this experience was not a treat. Cannot recommend.
