Located in the Salamanca market area of Hobart, we found refuge from the rain.Lovely atmosphere, well stocked with a good range of options.Bar service. Order, pay and carry your own drinks…..Background music was ok.We didnt eat but they offer the usual tapas type of bar food that goes well with a drink or two.
Busy atmosphere. Huge venue. Can’t say I found the staff very friendly. Amazing wine selection. We ordered the arancini balls and chicken tenders. Both tasty but seriously overpriced for the small portion you get. Yes, I understand it’s a tapas bar but $16 for 3 arancini balls is massively taking the biscuit. 2 x small tapas and 2 beers cost over $50.
We have made a point of visiting Grape whenever we are in Hobart and over the years it has proved consistent with a great selection of wines and happy knowledgeable staff. Still busy which is always a good sign. The only downside, although not a detraction from visiting, is the meals quality appears to have slipped although there is a good selection to choose from.
