Eating here is a lot of effort. Went for dinner here a l9ittle while ago and we ordered two shared meals one for each couple. Our meal arrived appox an hour before the other couple so we shared our meal while they waited for theirs. The whole evening was close to 5 hours which was a little long.My wife and I have decided to go back and try again as once the food arrived it was fantastic but it seems very hard to book. I have called multiple times on different days to try to book but have ended up having to go somewhere else as they do not seem to answer or call back.

Delicious, interesting food with a nice ambience. We shared a seafood hotpot for $40 per person. The serves were very large and filling so no entrees or side orders were required, making the meal relatively cheap for food of this high quality. A pot of green tea was complimentary and no corkage was charged for BYO. Ingredients were of a high quality and while the flavour was mild at first, the dish grew more delicous the longer the ingredients cooked. Service was friendly and polite with the dishes nicely explained by the waiter. The decor was simple and classy with sheer fabric hangings between tables that give you some privacy without making you feel isolated. Be prepared for a slow, leisurely meal as the food is meticulously presented, so obviously takes some time to prepare. A real gem of a restaurant for Hobart that we will be visiting again soon!

‘Please allow time for a leisure meal’ – a very apt statement on the menu. Food service takes a while probably due to the attention to detail. Worth the wait given the gorgeous tastes that improve over the course of the meal. Ingredients are fresh and each of the soup bases taste different with a great sense of balance. Serving sizes are generous, the green tea at the end was a nice touch. Interesting introduction to the food by the waiter. Would be best to call ahead of time for a booking.
