Dined here on a recent trip to Tasmania Had the 3 tier seafood tower to share Major disappointment was no moreton bay bug as described, were told we could have a little bit more of everything else…Instead we asked for oysters in place and had the beef as the second tier (normal is choice of beef or oysters for second tier)Feedback don’t charge top dollar and advertise produce that you cannot provide!Decor is a bit dreary probably mainly serve patrons of the hotel and are not screaming for outside business Seafood was very well cooked as was the beef. We were pleased with the food we ateService good although no direction on where to get the self service salad and veggies we thought it wasn’t on (it was in the breakfast self service area for the hotel, under covers) we saw this when we were leaving Normally I don’t bother with dessert but it was a tasting platter and were sharing. Every item was spectacular ! Dessert bumped the score up

Joined a party of around 12 last night to celebrate a birthday. Expectations were not high based on previous reviews and unfortunately concerns were justified. Those that had steak or lamb seemed to be the winners. A large scotch ordered medium-rare looked spot on. Unfortunately those that ordered any seafood were largely disappointed. All of it had clearly been frozen and then overcooked- no absolute disasters but all of it below standard. With the success of the Hobart food scene at the moment there are so many better places to try.
