So after my disastrous breakfast at Jackman’s I was still hungry so I thought I would see if the Salamanca Wharf Cafe did poached eggs and bacon – and they do. So that is what I ordered and I also went for another double shot flat white. The coffee was lukewarm and lacked body – so they lost a point for that.It took a while for the eggs to arrive but they were pretty good. Service was friendly. My conclusion on the breakfast front is that the Machine Laundry Cafe is the pick of the. Real fast places I tried.
Wonderful friendly staff, attentive and on the ball. A great way to finish a holiday in Hobart. Good coffee, tasty food and nice ambience that obviously has a mix of visitors and locals.
Came in for breakfast and figured the food and coffee must be pretty good because there was only one table free.Staff were friendly, coffee was good and the eggs were cooked perfectly. There was a relaxed vibe for a Tuesday morning and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting at our sunny table.Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
Loved my breakfast experience here. Came in just as they were getting busy so made sure we ordered before others. Didn’t really have to do that as our meals and subsequent orders came out very quickly. Ordered mushroom and haloumi and the quinoa breakfast bowl. Both were very good (not in the sense of any amazing new flavour but just simple food done well and presented nicely). Highly recommend it if you are into your more healthy style breakfasts ( there were options on the menu for bacon and chorizo lovers out there). Fresh flavours. Good serving size. The staff were super friendly. Very efficient.
When travelling, it’s hard to find a decent coffee, but this little cafe has coffee to rival your favourite Melbourne cafe. Food is decent. The Bircher muesli was exceptional good.
We had a wharf breakfast, which technically was a big breakfast with chorizo. You can’t go wrong with that. Beatifully done proached eggs on toast and corn fritters. In terms of services, to be quite honest, one of the best I have ever had. Staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and helpful. We were sitting outside when it was quite sunny and all but were advised that we could take a table indoor if the weather turned cold and it did. That bubbly waitress who was looking for a free table inside for us needs a rise.
Had the wharf breakfast. Very good and filling. Didn’t like that much the corn fritter but then again, no really into fritters.Waiting about 20mins for a table 10:30am on a Sunday but worth the wait. Great hospitality as well. Will return next time I’m in Tasmania.
