Local. This is the second time Ive eaten here, (gotta give a place a second chance) first time was fish n chips, disappointing, fish was small and dry, the chips were great. The second time, Ive just had a boardwalk basket…very disappointing again! One tiny dry piece of fish, the chips overall tasted stale, calamari, prawns and scallops were okay but wouldn’t rave about them! I was left with a slight greasy after taste!Lucky I have a lemon tree at home as there was none with the meal. Not good value for money at all.Service was friendlyYou need to visit the Fish Bar and match their value and quality to get me back again for another visitI tried to call you personally to deliver this but the mobile number on your web page says not connected.
The fish was great fresh and juicy and that was it. Chips was average and so as the potato cakes. I was expecting delicious potato cakes as per review but was disappointed. Out of ten it’s just average to be honest. I’ve tried better fish n chips in Melbourne.
Best potato cakes. They have the best potato cakes I’ve ever had….. But the fish portions are tiny. Great service but the size of fish is a rip off now

So yummy! Everything is always so fresh. Have been a regular since they opened and they keep getting better and better. Loving the new heated dining area too!
A scrum feed!. Best fish and chips in Hobart. Tried it last week after getting a voucher in the Round the River fun run. The chips were 10/10 and the flake delicious. The Fish Bar, Mures and Mako will need to lift their game.
Beautiful Fiah & seafood. Lovely chef. Generous serves. Just dress warmly in autumn.
