Loved MONA and loved my lunch at the Source! The service was fantastic and the views/ambience were lovely too. I thought the entrees/small meals were more flavourful and delicious than our mains. Interesting menus items and lots to choose from. You really can’t go wrong!
Situated within the MONA grounds, this restaurant have an amazing view overlooking Tasmania and the river. A lot was put into the decor of this restaurant, each table have it’s own decorations under the table glass. On the outside you have what they called live tables which have green plant on it! Foodwise I have to say they’re really good except for the seafood hotpot. The dish was really bland. I would highly recommend the roasted eggplant, it has a mix of flavours that makes it so interesting!
Absolutely fantastic food, amazing service, brilliant location! Loved the all of the seafood and the pork belly. Wines were delicious. Save room for dessert. The staff were attentive and accommodating.
Another phenom food experience in Tasmania. After a wander through MONA (what a museum and gallery) we headed to our lunch booking for hubs birthday. Tasmanian drinks to start followed by seriously great food. Seared scallops for my choice, torched Miso & Sake cured ocean trout for hubs. For mains we got the striped trumpeter and the seafood hot pot, both delicious and generous. Dessert of panna cotta for me, and white chocolate mouse for hubs. I finished with a very good piccolo. They use Villano coffee.
Good and service, set in a very relaxing setting in the midst of a rather interesting museum. Entrees were excellent and the seared tuna main was delightful. Good wine list too.
It was a great place for lunch after a trip to MONA. The service was great and quite prompt. There was a wide selection on the menu, seafood and meat. It was totally enjoyable especially one can enjoy the view too.
