Excellent food but rather poor service, had to ask just to order our meals. Four in our party, meals were the duck, gnocchi, cannelloni and salmon. All very tasty and well presented.Shame about the service but that said the food was good enough to entice me back, hopefully it was just an off night with regards to the service.
Deep dryers delight is the only way to describe this place. Exceptional poor extraction fan resulted in need to ventilate the restaurant. Disappointing food, bland flavours, italian for mainstream.
A real gem. Sfuso is about 15 minutes’ drive south of Hobart and located right across from beautiful Blackmans Bay beach. I used to go here quite often when I worked in the area but it had been almost a year since my last visit this week. It’s still as good as it always was…quality food, excellent ambience, friendly and professional service. It wasn’t til I returned that I realised how much I’ve missed going there, so my next return will be much sooner. Sfuso is the sort of relaxed eatery you wish there were more of and their food is truly good quality and well-priced. It’s an experience I can very enthusiastically recommend.
Warm cheery delicious family lunch. We booked a table for 7 – 2 kids and 5 adults – all family including a sparky 97 year old. There was music on but conducive to conversation. Coffees were great. I had a crab and chilli spaghetti (gluten free) and it was fabulous. I don’t usually order pasta in restaurants as my husband cooks such great pasta dishes and I am usually disappointed but I loved this. my mother in law really enjoyed her prawn pie. The pate was enjoyed. The salads were fine, nothing too special though. A brulee was ordered for desert and got approval. Nice atmosphere, nice staff, not pretentious. Then as it as cross form the beach, we all strolled and played for the rest of the arvo. So overall I give it 7/10 and would definitely go back again – the bill was pleasantly smaller than we had imagined too.
