The service I received was appalling. I’ve rarely been treated in such a rude and abusive way. It’s a pity because the food was OK, a bit expensive though.
My husband and I had an awesome lunch here today. Everything was spot on, from the moment we walked in. The furniture is casual and rustic and the layout easy for us to manouvre our pram. On this note, there’s also a change table. The service was absolutely brilliant! We dealt with three different women, each of them super lovely and keen to make sure our time in the cafe was enjoyed. Then there was the food! We had the Greek spinach pie, which came with a couscous salad; the pumpkin and cashew ‘burger’ (no bread, it was a huge pattie served on a barley (I think) salad – which the waitress made us aware of at the time of ordering); and a soy banana smoothie…everything was truly delicious! The salad accompaniments to the mains were more than just salads, and the pie and ‘burger’ were creative and perfect. The portion size was ideal too. This is a perfect lunch venue for people a little health conscious, wanting fresh produce and not your run of the mill options. Even though we’re only in town another few days, I expect we’ll visit again!

Friendly service. Was so busy we had to wait for a table but were glad we did as the food is yum. Changed menu item a bit to make child happy which is always appreciated. Cute atmosphere, great food and lovely staff. Nothing bad to say other than please get EFTPOS we would have spent more.
The best cafe in Burnie. The good things;- quirky, rustic fit-out- great soy latte- amazing service, everyone here is very friendly- I had the brown rice burger (more a patty than a burger) – absolutely delicious! The bad things;- No EFTPOS – it’s 2014 people, get EFTPOS!
Divine Cakes!. If you are going to have coffee and cake at Another Mother, the Jamaican Ginger cake is absolutely divine. Their mains all look lush too.
Snow peas and pumpkin risotto. Tried a few things on the changing blackbord menu the two weeks I was in Burnie, but the risotto was by far the best and most memorable–crunchy snow peas, firm but sweet pumpkin, nicely rendered arborio. Very, very nice. Nt a big fan of their coffee though, which was inconsistent, but probably the best in town notwithstanding.
