We spent the day in the Tamar Valley and didnt get much further than the Josef Chromy Estate. What started as a wine tasting quickly became a long lunch. The setting was absolutely stunning and the staff were friendly, relaxed and accommodating. Food was top notch, with decent sized portions and quality ingredients that were fresh. Oysters were from Bruny Island and were spectacular. My only qualm is that the menu was filled with meat heavy dishes. Would be nice to a see one slightly lighter vegetarian dish on there (just for contrast and those not wanting meat). Aside from that, I cant fault our experience and we would certainly recommend to others visiting the region.
