Walked in here and we were greeted by the friendliest staff, they were really helpful and made us feel quite at home. The cauliflower soup was delicious and the place is just lovely. The drive down was well worth it.
Worth a day trip down to Cygnet just for lunch. Ingredients are organic, free-range, local, ethical, healthy and nourishing for the soul and the tastebuds. Meals are big. Service is dandy. Cygnet is beautiful. The lotus eaters have captured the raw, magical essence and authenticity of the town and popped it on a plate.
Best soup ever. On random drive around peninsula we fetched up in Cygnet at lunchtime. I was planning lunch at Red Velvet Lounge, having forgotten it’s closed due to kitchen fire. We wandered into Lotus Eaters’ Cafe which was packed and soon discovered why. The food is FABULOUS. And the service really personable. We both had the vegetable soup which was a knockout. And the accompanying bread was pretty darn fine too. I was sorry I had no room for dessert but did manage a little treat from Cygneture chocolates a few doors along.
Practically Perfect. I wish I could live at this cafe. I would settle for living near cygnet, but living in the cafe would be the dream. It’s everything I ever wanted in a cafe – good, high quality food made from super fresh delicious ingredients (with vegetarian options, thank god), great range of tasty drinks (teas, coffees, interesting fizzy drinks) a charming atmosphere and delightful service. It’s very busy and inside is definitely cramped, but I don’t mind it. Their tarts are divine and the salads are refreshingly interesting and super generously portioned. The coffee and tea are certainly up to snuff (try the chai). I want to try all of their cakes and dishes – I don’t know if the wontons are ever vegetarian but if they were I’d be all over them. I love this cafe and I think it goes without saying that I’d highly recommend you stop by.
Lovely little cafe with beautiful food and great coffee. A breath of fresh air. Small menu but the food is always spectacular.
I would drive all the way to cygnet just to have a pot of their chai tea. It is easily one of the best chai’s I have ever tasted !
