I found this place on google maps, after coming in on the boat from Melbourne, which was running over an hour late. I rang through and they very graciously took my booking for 8.15pm – on a Sunday night. The location is beautiful and the decor is classic and clean and very well thought out. After a 12 hour stint on the Spirit, it was a sight for sore eyes.On my return I took some photos of the view and my semi freddo. Which I had to have again!Had the Japanese dumplings and the semi freddo for dessert. The food was fantastic, delicious and just what I wanted. The wine list is extensive, with a great selection of Tasmanian wines. The food come out quickly and i was so happy with it, I’ve booked there for a light dinner before I return home. It certainly made my first experience of Devonport shine.

The food is imaginative and delicious; the staff professional warm and friendly; and the view is exceptional. The ambience is relaxed and lovely dining experience.

Came here on a school trip and was very impressed with the service and overall feel of this restaurant. The food was beyond expectations and everyone was impressed. This restaurant shows to be suitable for everyone and would highly recommend the trip.

We worked in Ulverstone and Devonport for 01 month. We took this opportunity to try many restaurants which have high rating on the internet in the area. We tried Wagyu Pie company, Pier01, Pedro’s, peppers cradle mountain restaurant… the best is Mrs Jones. We’ve been here twice and completely pleased. Food and desert was beautiful. The staff was so friendly made our dining experience perfect. We would love to visit again and again while we still here unfortunately they will close for annual leave for a month.I would highly recommend this place.

I came to dine with great expectations, but was very disappointed by the staff wearing jeans. If I am paying fine dining prices I expect wonderfully presented staff and excellent service. It took me quite some time to get the attention of staff to request some salt, something I never usually add to my food, but felt was required on my meal.I watched other tables with more diners being served their meals in a disjointed manner. On a table of 6, 2 then 3 and then the last person was served their meal. This over the time span of 5 minutes. Quite disappointing if you are dining together. The flavours of all the courses were okay, but certainly not what I would expect for the price of the meals.

Selected from the extensive menu for lunch and was not disappointed. Very tasty and sufficient, fresh and well chosen combination. Coffee okay. Service very good.

Very slow service from kitchen (over 45min between entre and main) – Christmas functions – food however was very good – table service however was reasonable
