Apparently the food is amazing here. Unfortunately I ordered an almond croissant which tasted stale and I wasnt able to finish it. Much as I loved the friendliness of those who were serving, the service was very slow… we stood at the counter for some minutes whilst those serving (3 of them) had a conversation about the coffee of a customer who was no longer in the store. If not for the reputation of the food I would have been too impatient to wait and no doubt this coloured my whole experience. I think it wouldnt take much for this to have been a four or five star review – todays baking, an immediate greeting and an instruction to go sit down well be with you shortly would have done wonders.
