Stopped here to sample cheeses and tried some delicious ice-cream! The cheeses are mostly cheddar, which I am not a huge fan of, but if you’re a cheddar fanatic this is the cheesery for you 🙂 Tried the raspberry ice-cream, which was creamy and very delicious! Great afternoon tea spot. Lots of hand-painted cows around the site, too!

If ever there was a reason to not speed on the highway it would be this great lil establishment. Blink and you’ll miss it but don’t blink and pure milk excitement is coming your way. Look at the cows in the paddock, but dont look too long or you’ll realise they are fabulous! These are painted artworksGo in store and sample every type of cheese. They’re all good, but there’s nothing here that’s so so remarkable. What’s really good is the milkshakes thougj so give them a try

We visited the cheese shop for a tasting today, and tried their special wasabi and lavender cheese. The wasabi cheese tasted kinda unique in a good way, which I guess is the main point of it. We ended up getting the tasting pack of 5 different types of flavours, I can’t wait to try them all. My partner loved their smoked cheddar, which is a huge surprise as he usually hate anything cheese. Now he’s a convert.

Store sells a variety of their cheese, including specialty ones like lavender and wasabi, as well as local Tas produce. Free cheese tastings in store and you get to look into their cheese-making room. Also check out the (fake) cows and massive pumpkins outside the store.Note: some of their cheeses are available from local supermarkets (e.g. rubicon red, wasabi, vintage cheddar.. although at slightly higher prices).

Ashgrove Cheese is fantastic. A definite stop if you get the chance to try the Cradle Coast Tasting Trail. Good samples and selection of cheese with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Watching the cheese making is always fun and the Cafe serves a wonderful lunch. Their products are very affordable with a great selection of their products and other speciality products from Tasmanian suppliers.

Cheese heaven! Going to various places believe it or not this is one of the cheaper places to buy cheese. There are samples to try and they sell a assortment of other foods including sauces, jams, there own juices and ice creams! Had the strawberry ice cream, light in taste but I enjoyed it. Had there apple juice, not to my taste buds. Can’t see yet what’s my favourite cheese but the go have chilli and wasabi cheese, both give a big kick! Worth visiting !
