Guilty as charged! Ok it’s known as the prison pub but I swallowed my pride and went on expecting a below average feed. Boy was I wrong. I’ve been back twice now. The kids menu is great value at $9.95 with a choice of many. Carb Jnr had the flathead and chips. Two decent sized well presented pieces of fish and (enter cockney accent) proper beer battered fries. Carb Jnr monumentally pleased wiv h’self and the $9.95 inc ice cream and a drink. Now muvva orders the schnitzel (nothing new there) but it came out cooked to perfection, all breast and with said salad and the proper fries again. So much parmigiana sauce that even I could not complain. Grand muvva had the chicken salad which she says hit the spot and at $22 it was a delight. Check out the pics to get a better idea. Kudos to the new management team for sprucing this place up. Not a hint of bikie or flannel anywhere- (disclaimer I have been known to have many a bikie night and I’ve owned flannies so my understanding is that I can say this). Really pleased that the local is decent. The head waitress or maitre d was attentive and well presented. Great little pub for a week day dinner.
