Attracted to shiny new things, I saw that this banjos had relocated with a brand new fit out.Positive – the new fit out makes the eating experience a better one, away from the hussle & noise of the food court. It allows for a secluded peaceful lunch break. It is also very spacious with outside seating. Friendly staff.Food – agree with foodies Teddy & Jimmy Carradine, it is average. I didnt heed to Teddy’s advice & had a toasted Cajun chicken pide $8.90 (a bit steep since I couldnt eat it all). It was a messy affair as all the filling fell out while trying to eat. Coffee was terrible.I bought some bunny easter buns the week before, not as good as previous year. Additional 1/2 point is for the new location & fit out. I did enjoy the tranquility during my lunch break.
Yes I was starving and a tad desperate. I ordered the chicken and avocado pita for lunch. It was incredibly underwhelming and the lettuce was brown. Some Cafes actually think ahead and use tongs to remove the salad before toasting a creation like this, but no I got the hot brown lettuce and no flavour. Won’t be back for a while as it was bland, bland and brown.
As Banjos go, it’s ok. My usual feelings about this shop being at Northgate applies. Poor service. Coffee is just ok. (why get coffee here when there is a Gloria Jeans and Coffee Club in the same centre). Sandwiches are hit or miss.
Love Banjo’s. By far the best chain bakery in Australia 🙂 always baked fresh always a good price 🙂
