Nothing beats a friendly service and good coffee in the morning, and you get them both in this nice small cafe in the Hobart CBD.As soon as the owner found out that we were from Sydney, he made sure that we got to the right places and the right directions. At one stage, he ran to the back to grab us a map for the Salamanca markets, great service! Highly recommended.
A nice little cafe for quick take away coffee or a place to comfortably enjoy your drink and a pastry. The coffee is pretty good and the service is friendly and efficient.
Great coffee – owners know regulars by name, a great way to start the morning with a friendly banter. The food is simple, pre-made rolls, sushi packs, pies, quiches, plenty of breakfast bakery goodies. My favourite is the Dutch apple slice & toasted blueberry bagel with cream cheese.
My wife and I went to Boutique Espresso for a quick coffee and a bite to eat whilst on holiday in Hobart. The shop is really bright and fresh, and has both indoor seating in the form of benches and stools, and a couple of armchairs, and tables and chairs outside adjacent to the footpath. We were immediately greeted by the owner, who despite the late lunch time (about 3:00pm), was very accommodating and offered to prepare anything we wanted. We ordered a ham and cheese toasted sandwich and a smoked salmon and salad rye roll, and a couple of coffees. We sat outside, and the owner made us feel very welcome, making sure we were comfortable, before bringing out the food and coffee. The coffee was great, and the food, while simple, was fresh and tasty. We were so impressed that we went back the next morning for breakfast before flying out of Hobart. We ordered ham and cheese croissants and coffees to go. The owner’s wife and kids were helping out in the store and there was a very cheerful atmosphere. The food and coffees were great again, a good way to finish our holiday. The coffee at Boutique Espresso is fantastic, the food fresh and simple, but by far the best feature of this little shop is the service. The owner is friendly, accommodating and cheerful without being overbearing.I will definitely be going back next time I am in Hobart and supporting this great little family business.
