Waitresses clearly did not want to be there and were a little passive aggressive. We came here because they advertised allergy friendly but completely got the order wrong and put dairy on my meal. Other items from our order were missing. The live music was good. Staff behind the bar very friendly. Unfortunately the dining staff let this place down and the food was bad.
Very down to earth pub. Staff are friendly, beers offered are great and fresh. The outdoor setup is perfect to sink a couple and watch the footy!
Great Gatropub. Good menu options and nice relaxed environment. Friendly staff and fast service from order to table. Worth a pop in for Sunday drinks or dinner
Great food and decent menu. Bit pricy in the pub and the yard was a bit loud but besides thats. It was great.Ordered a schnitzel burger, Souvlaki and chips with gravy and cheese. Schnitzel burger was proper meat, good crumb, lots of aioli, couldnt quite figure out the bun ( why so flat?) But overall it was really nice and not too heavy. Chips were THICK. Still very crispy but cooked perfectly fluffy inside.Gravy was ok. Couldve done with more gravy amd cheese throughout the chips besides just on top. Souvlaki was great, full of veges, olives and fetta. Decent size too ans again not too oily. Overall good feed. Decent menu choices. A bit on the pricy side cost wise. But not run of the mill had some good variation and food was well made.
Solid pub food when you just want a good meal and can’t be fussed. Large Parma menu and other comfort food standards. Attached to a backpackers so always a good crowd even on a sleepy Hobart weekday.
Went for dinner with the wife. Both ordered a Parmi each. I had the traditional double banger and she had the jack-o-lantern, both chicken. The Parmi was thick and juicy, her one was fantastic. My Parmi had slightly burnt crumbs and the Napoli sauce lacked seasoning. Chips were thick and well cooked but also lacked seasoning. Not a bad feed but a bit expensive for pub food.
With the large range of Parma options, I was super impressed that this hotel had a vegetarian ‘schnitzel’ option of Huon Mushrooms! So you choose your base (Huon, chicken or wallaby) then choose your parma topping! Take note other pubs in Melbourne – if you can crumb a chicken you can crumb veggies too! The meals were huge, as you can see from the photos, but they were really nice. I chose the ‘jack-o-lantern’ Parma, Huon mushroom base with roast punkin, baby spinach, Napoli and goats cheese. So tasty, nice Napoli, not overload of cheese, mushrooms were deliciously cooked too.The side salad of rocket and parmesean was yummy and the chips were nice and crunchy. Had we have known the portion size we would have shared, but father got the standard sort of chicken parma. Would def come back
