This is the kind of place you hope youll find when visiting a new city. Unpretentious, great coffee, tasty food and friendly service. Hidden in a lane way off Collins St, you get the feeling its a place for locals not tourists. I ordered the herb and parmesan rosti and it was hot, tasty, crunchy with just the right amount of accompaniments. Just a few days ago I ordered a similar dish at the far hipper Pilgrim and was disappointed. Dandy Lane is my new favourite breakfast stop in Hobart.
