Island Espresso is a cute and unique coffee shop located not far from Hobart’s City Centre. Family owned and run, Island Espresso’s kind and friendly staff make the morning cup of coffee an enjoyable experience. Not only does the coffee taste great but the cosy and relaxing environment in which it is served in is delightful. I can highly recommend a cup of coffee and a bite to eat in this quaint and bubbly coffee shop.
I’m writing this in honour of my father who is now deceased. He used to work down the road and although he was located directly above about 4 popular cafes he would walk up the road to island espresso because he loved the coffee so much. Keep up the great work, you have an excellent product
Short stay…. I Have been for coffee a couple of times without disappointment, although this morning I opted for breakfast after an early morning trip to taxi a friend to the airport. Coffee was, as usual, excellent. I had chilly and coriander scrambled eggs which were tasty and well piced.But the thing that ended my breakfast early was the amount of personal life drama being discussed behind the counter, at volume and in frontnof customers by the barista with the delivery guy. Without going into specifics of the baristas personal life, none of that’s what the customer wants.Good coffee, prompt service.I would have stayed and had another coffee or even finished my first while delete work emails from my IPad, but even from the back of the small dining area, the discussions in the front were audible above the customers, street noise and the coffee machine.
Went here for lunch but ended up having breakfast! It’s great that someone has all day breakfast every day of the week ! French toast was great and the chai tea was gorgeous !
BEST COFFEE IN HOBART. Accidentally discovered this cafe a few weeks ago and hands down the best coffee in Hobart. Their almond croissants are also amazing.
