Table for 4 groovers wanting some food & grog.We ordered burgers all around with a side of onion rings & chips. i think burgers shpuld always come with chips if your paying over $20 bucks!! We were satisfied. We didn’t have high expectations & it was everything we thought it would be. Friendly staff. Good location & some good 80’s music.

Very disappointing. Ordered the southern fried chicken burger with a side of chips (chips don’t come with a burger)Burger bun was stale. The whole thing had zero flavour. Ended up leaving a 1/4 of it on the plate. Chips looked great when they came out but that’s about all they had going for them. Sure they were crunchy, but they had no potato in them. It was like eating fried air….. and again with no flavour. More than half of the chips were left on the plate. Better luck next time Jack Greene Bar!

Really nice bar – huge selection of drinks – Shame the food service was not as good 45 mins to get chips and a burger – have a drink better to be had on the strip…

Staff are lovely and friendly. Nice buzzing vibe, especially on the weekend. Food was average. Had the lamb burger at it was very dry with a cheap tasting bun. Come for the staff and drinks, not the food.

Chicken was ok, it was not oily. The wasabi mayo dip that came with it was disappointing. Didnt taste too much of the wasabi. Overall, not a memorable dish. Burger was adequate but again, not memorable.Jack Greene is possibly the liveliest place in Hobart after 9pm.

Poor service. Very average food. My glass had lipstick stain on it, I got no response when telling the staff, just poured a new drink is a different glass, then when I’d asked for the vegan option mushroom burger it came out with cheese and milk bun, my boyfriend then spoke to the staff about the 2 issues, they again responded really poorly and the only reason we had any compensation for their mistakes was because he had to insist it wasn’t ok. Both of our burgers were very average once they finally come out.

First night of my stay in hobart, a popular bar with good outdoor heating for a chilly evening. Got a beef & bacon burger, simple but done right with good produce, buns and sauces. Also got a side of onion rings and it was a very generous portion, so tasty too. Plenty of good beers on tap, they do paddles and the bar staff have good beer knowledge.
