I was in Hobart with my Wife for our anniversary. One afternoon when we were passing by we could smell the aroma from a distance while crossing the road nearby and could easily relate to how Indian food used to be, back in the day. Hence, we decided to give it go that evening…..and Woh! we are glad we did ….Hands down One of The Best 3 Indian Food Restaurants I have been to (the other two, one in Kyoto, Japan, the other in Punjab, India). This place is superb. The menu is impressive and the food is by a trained chef. You know it when you can taste the different curries and none of them are similar (which alot of Indian restaurants tend to do) …..Very Very Very Good Food. Highly recommended.!!!
Went for dinner, first thing I notice is their water bottle-dirty, next the glasses are dirty. Plates have dust on them as well. To add on that, I saw this gentleman came in to order for takeaway but instead of taking his order the counter girl was busy taking other orders over phone. That’s so rude, she didn’t have the decency to apologies to that gentleman. She should have put the phone on hold and first attended the customer at the counter. I would never recommend this place. Only good thing was food. Wait staff needs training.
Recommend!. We arrived just before 7 on a Wednesday evening, and we’re the first customers. The waiter was friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent! The only problem we encountered was what seemed like quite a long wait between entre and mains. Otherwise, we really enjoyed it.
I had dinner this evening and really enjoyed the food The flavours were great and delicious with extensive menu Recommend this
Friday Lunch. Tried out this place for lunch yesterday. We had the vindaloo prawns and Punjabi dal fry. Both were delicious and generous servings. With naan and a couple of beers it was a most enjoyable meal, reasonably priced and friendly pleasant service. Bit of a pity we were the only ones there although we did arrive quite late for lunch. We will certainly be back.
Lunch. Naan not that great compared to other placesBeef vindaloo v spicy but beef was hard
Called in and ordered take away on a Friday night. Entrees and 3 mains – chicken, beef and prawn. Everything was fantastic and staff very friendly. I have a couple of team members from India and they also highly recommend. Felt sorry though – no other customers!
