No space in the bistro, so we ate in the bar. Super cheap, and solid pub food – generous serves. Highly recommend the cheesy garlic bread. Only annoying thing is that they couldnt put the footy on the tv nearby, so we had to watch gymnastics instead.
Nice friendly cosy atmosphere pub with friendly staff. I had the roast of the day which was pork and came with great crackling and crunchy spuds. Great value for $12. Bob had the mixed grill.
Great experience at Shamrock. Came in on a busy Tuesday night when all tables were taken in the dining area but were quickly seated by the owner/ manager in the front bar. Meals came out quickly and tasted amazing, especially for the price. Most mains are around $10-13 ( including steak, burgers and schnitzels) which is not only about half the price of other pubs in Hobart, but the portion sizes, taste and atmosphere makes this places better than some of the most expensive restaurants in Tasmania. Would highly recommend a visit here during your stay in Hobart.
