Probably best meal we had while in Hobart. Really nice breakfast and definitely worth the price. Staff are very accommodating too, highly recommend!…

Extremely disappointed in our breakfast. Waited 50 minutes for meal. Didn’t cater for allergies. Couldn’t give ingredients of bread; no avocado or tomatoes available – had run out. Shame as the market was almost outside their front door to restock. Offered feedback to be confronted by a rather irrational staff member. Certainly could not recommend.

‘The big one’ is the WORST breakfast I’ve ever had period.Deep fried (burnt) mushrooms.Deep fried cheap supermarket sausages they call bratwurst.Deep fried burnt bacon.Charcoal ham steaks.Poached eggs that taste only of vinegar.A slice of bread. And the only salvageable part, a fried tomato.Additionally, their coffee was terrible also. This meal left such a bad taste in my mouth (from the parts I managed to eat) that I had to go next door to Dr coffee for a takeaway coffee and slice of banana bread.
Great place for breakfast at Salamanca. Room outside is good but cramped inside. Eggs Benedict to die for. Coffee is ok. Service hit and miss.
Came for lunch one weekend. Coffee was good. However, roast veg lasagna had not a single visible roast veg to be seen. Bread with soup was dry and not served with butter. Won’t be back.
Came here for breakfast, ordered a rosti with two poached eggs and the missus got eggs benedict with baked beans. The rosti was very thick and had an overwhelming taste of dill … I could taste it for hours afterwards, would not recommend. One of the poached eggs was cooked solid, the other was perfect. The baked beans tasted like flowers, which might be fine for some, but I prefer mine to taste like baked beans oddly enough. The coffee was very average also, burnt maybe? I must say the staff were friendly… but I’d give this place a miss if I were you…
Can’t afford a Spotify subscription?. We used to come here frequently (once a month at least) for the good quality breakfasts. After moving interstate we came here whilst on holidays. The food has gone downhill a bit. Couldn’t work out quite what had changed but just an overall thing. Also, I find it odd that Zum couldn’t pay an odd $10 a month for a Spotify subscription. They were playing the free version complete with ads. They had obviously typed in Christmas songs in the search and as a result we had to listen to weird cats meowing the Christmas carols. Yes, meowing Christmas songs. We won’t return.
